Discussion:
[Agilo for Trac] Sprint dropdown at Ticket Edit screen includes all Sprints

Hi,

The sprint dropdown list shows all sprints from the database. This is
rather annoying as the order criteria is also not really straight forward
and with the 70+ sprints we currently have it is hard to find the current
or up-coming sprints from that list.

Should there be any filter and sorting criteria in place? If yes, which
ones?

This is
Agilo 0.9.9
Track 0.12

Cheers,
Michael Kröll

which exactly is the dropdown you refer to?

Hi Michael,

since this wish is shared by many Agilo for Trac users, I think it's a good candidate for being implemented in our next release.
I will write a story for this in our backlog.

You can follow updates and changes to the product here:

http://www.agilosoftware.com/blog

Besides, we send the changelog to all of this google group's subscribers on every update.

Thanks for pointing out this problem.

Cheers

I guess I should have found and joined this group earlier. We run 0.9.5
and have the same issue. I'm pretty surprised that no one reported it
before.

Is this issue fixed in a newer version? We still run into this and would
like a way to not show old sprints in the drop downs.

Yes, we use that feature and it does help. The problem is really evident
during sprint planning where we try to assign stories to sprints from the
backlog. Finding the new sprint in the backlog view is difficult as it is
not ordered and the list is very long. If the list was like the list that
is presented in the left sidebar for the sprint view drop down, that would
be ideal.

Thank you

Hi Steve,
Is this issue fixed in a newer version? We still run into this and would
like a way to not show old sprints in the drop downs.
In version 0.9.10 / 1.3.10 PRO we’ve introduced searchable dropdowns,
including the one used for sprints.
With this you can filter the list of sprints by typing the sprint’s name
in the search box.
Since you are using Agilo 0.9.12 you should already have that
functionality in place, does this help?
Cheers,
