The link "Create a new referenced 'Task' link missing" doesn't show up at
all except for those with Admin permission. This agilo was added onto a
legacy trac 1.0 project so it's probably there is a conflict somewhere with
something (although almost all plugins have been removed or disabled) but I
have no idea where. There were a couple old threads with similar problems
but they are years old. Can anyone give any advice?

a bit more information. they can associate created tasks with stories
after they are created if the story is owned by them but the link doesn't
appear in either case.

also if they actually know the format of the task creation
link <host>/newticket?owner=<owner>&src=<ticketnumber>&sprint=April&type=task
and go to it directly it works correctly

Would you mind providing the permission matrix for your instance? Or, alternatively, a list of the permissions that such users are granted?

Thanks

Was there ever a resolution on this issue. We are having the same issue
here where the "Create a new referenced 'Story' link is missing unless the
user has Admin permissions. Appreciate any help you can give.

Was there ever a resolution on this issue. We are having the same issue here where the "Create a new referenced 'Story' link is missing unless the user has Admin permissions. Appreciate any help you can give.
what exactly is the permissions set of the account for which the link is missing?

Cheers,
